Obituary for Virginia F. Miller
VIRGINIA F. MILLER, 91, of Wichita, KS formerly of Fulton, IL died Friday, January 6, 2006 at the Sandpiper Longterm Care Facility in Wichita. Virginia was born December 20, 1914 in Topeka, KS to Wesley C. and Florence M. (Lane) Jones. She was educated in the Fulton, IL grade and high schools, graduating in 1934. She married Dr. Donald R. Miller on December 13, 1950 in Kansas City, MO. He died November 18, 1978. Virginia was employed with Fidelity Life Association and Kemper Insurance from 1940 to 1972. She was a 50 year member of Fulton Presbyterian Church in Fulton, IL where she had taught Sunday School for 20 years. She was a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star-Merton Chapter #356, a 50 year member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, Magi Shrine #A memorial t26 in Clinton, IL, and a former member of the Fulton Women"s Club. Survivors include a niece, Lucy Shifton of Wichita, KS; two nephews, Dr. Wesley C. Jones of Emporia, KS and Verlin (Lois) Jones of Topeka, KS; four great nieces and three great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; two sisters, Katherine Bruno and Laura Hess and two brothers, Thomas and Ben Jones.
