Obituary for Vicki L. Gorzney
VICKI L. GORZNEY, 59, of 24712 - 149th Avenue N., Cordova, IL, died Friday, March 27, 2009 at her home.Vicki was born February 8, 1950 in Mason City, IA, to Vincent and Dorothy (Conner) Streets. She graduated from Amphitheater High School in Tucson, AZ in 1968 and from Eastern Iowa Community College in Clinton, IA in 1970 with an Associates Degree in Business. She married Douglas A. Gorzney on September 20, 1980 in Clinton, IA. Vicki was employed for 31 years at K-Mart and for 6 years at Kohls Department Store both in Clinton, IA. Vicki enjoyed traveling with her husband, Doug. She also enjoyed reading, photography, her flower garden, craft work, and gardening and canning her own vegetables. Vickis favorite activity was shopping for her children and nephews at Christmas time.Survivors include her husband, Doug; one son, Aaron Gorzney of Cordova, IL; one stepdaughter, Jolene (Chad) Comer of Newton, IA; two grandchildren, Brady and Ethan Comer; one sister, Deborah (Cecil) Heath of Flower Mound, TX; and two nephews, Ben (Anne) Heath and Tim Heath. She was preceded in death by her parents.
