Sheri was born September 3, 1962, in Clinton, IA, to John and Carolyn (Gray) Stevens. She graduated from Fulton High School in 1980. She was a gifted organ player and could be heard playing at many local churches. Her and her siblings, also musically entertained at Nancy’s Landing/Jay’s Grill.

Her daughter has fond memories of furniture being all pushed to one side of the room so her and her longtime friend, Michelle, could practice the newest line dance that they learned.

Sheri also enjoyed crochet for many years until her hands were not able to do it any longer. Many of her family and friends have been blessed with the gift of one of her beautiful dolls or afghans.

Sheri was a paid organist as a first job. She worked at Jay’s Grill and spent 35 years at Tyson-IBP in Hillsdale, IL, working her way up the ladder, ending her career in the camera room. Her friends and co-workers were more than that, they were family and wonderful support system through her many bouts of cancer.
