SHAWN DAVID PRICE, 49, of Milwaukee, WI, died Friday, March 24, 2023, at his home.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Denny O’s in Fulton, IL. Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial has been established to Fulton Steamer Football Program or Epic Center (Basic Group) in Fulton, IL.
Shawn was born October 29, 1973, in Clinton, IA, to Michael and Susan (Asmussen) Price. He was educated in the Fulton grade schools and was a 1992 graduate of Fulton High School. Shawn was a huge part of the Fulton Steamers 1991 State Football Team and he still holds the record for the most touchdown passes caught in a season. He was 1st Team All Conference, 1st Team Western Illinois All State and was honored to play in the Shrine Bowl. Shawn also excelled at basketball and baseball, but football was his first love. Shawn loved to cheer on his favorite sports teams. He was a lifelong Pittsburg Steelers fan and was an avid Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. But most of all, loved cheering and supporting his niece and nephews, playing as Fulton Steamers.
Survivors include his father, Michael (Noreen) Price of Camanche, IA; mother, Susan (Michael) Ottens of Fulton, IL; one brother, Scott Price of Morrison, IL; one niece, Jordan (Robby) Tucker of Paris, IL; two nephews, Devon Ballard of Peoria, IL and Ethan Price of Fulton, IL; many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jack and Jayne Price; maternal grandparents, Harold and Catherine Asmussen; two uncles, Harold Asmussen, Jr. and Marc Price; one cousin, Ben Price.
