Obituary for Ruth L. Danielson
RUTH L. DANIELSON, 96, of Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center, Prophetstown, IL, died Friday, December 28, 2012, at CGH Medical Center, Sterling, IL. Ruth was born May 19, 1916, in Malden, IL, to Sherman and Minnie (Mills) Watson. She was educated in the Malden Grade School and attended Malden High School. She married Harry W. Danielson on December 8, 1935, in Malden, IL. He died January 14, 2003. Ruth was a homemaker. Before moving to Prophetstown, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in LaMoille, IL, where she served as Deaconess. She later became a member of the Advent Christian Church in Prophetstown and volunteered in the church nursery. She was also a member of AARP. Ruth enjoyed working with the flowers in her yard, and she especially loved her church family. They were all so special to her. Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy (Jim) Duffield of Prophetstown, IL; one granddaughter, Michelle (Ryan) Mackin of Milan, IL; four great-grandchildren, Jaren Duffield, Rachel, Megan, and Riley Mackin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; one son in infancy; one grandson, Jonathan Duffield; three sisters, Irene Steele, Geneva Johnson, and Mary Elizabeth Watson; three brothers, Jim, Earl, and Harold Watson; and one special nephew, Harold Hubbard.
