Obituary for Ronald L. Francis
RONALD L. FRANCIS, 68, of 509 Market St., Prophetstown, IL died Thursday, August 28, 2008 at his residence. Ronald was born on April 28, 1940 in Sterling, IL to Hubert and Marie (Wierenga) Francis. He attended the Lyndon, IL and Prophetstown, IL area schools. He married Florence K. Peterson on December 23, 1961 in Prophetstown, IL. Ron was an independent truck driver for many years, and most recently, he drove truck for Chuck Swanson Trucking in Prophetstown, IL. Survivors include his wife, Florence; one son, Ronald R. Francis of Ripley, MS; two daughters, Caron (Mrs. John) Wilson of San Antonio, TX, and Jolyn (Mrs. Brian) Cox of Davenport, IA; Six Grandchildren: Katie Thompson, Aaron Cox, Casey Cox, Sophia Wilson, Keith Wilson, Emma Wilson; mother, Marie Francis of Lyndon, IL; one sister, Linda (Mrs. Larry) Voss of Prophetstown, IL; one brother, Jerry (Debbie) Francis of Lyndon, IL. He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert and one brother, Arman Francis.
