Obituary for Rogene W. Houseman
ROGENE W. HOUSEMAN, 81, of 1003 Hilltop Drive, Morrison, IL, died Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Rochelle Community Hospital in Rochelle, IL. Rogene was born August 2, 1929 in Morrison, IL, to Arthur C. and Luella (Pyse) Wagenecht. She was educated in the Morrison grade schools and was a graduate of Morrison High School. She married Dean Houseman on August 14, 1949 in Morrison, IL. He died October 12, 2000. Rogene was first employed by Dr. Isaac and Richard Vandermyde as office receptionist. She was later employed by General Electric in Morrison, retiring in 1982. Rogene was a member of the St. Peter"s Lutheran Church in Morrison. She enjoyed camping, circle puzzle books, reading, and spending time with her family. Survivors include three daughters, Deb (Bob) DeMay of Ankeny, IA, Sue (Roger) Drey of Morrison, IL, and Jane (Brian) Kenseth of Morrison, IL; nine grandchildren, Kelly (Gregg) Spear, Angie (Tony) Wadle, Nikki Drey, Aaron Drey, Sarah Drey, Carol Drey, Tommy Drey, Jon Kenseth, and Katie Kenseth; seven great grandchildren, Kyle, Brandon, and Christopher Spear, Avery and Andrew Maresca, Olivia Wadle, and Hailey Kenseth; one sister, Carol (Larry) Zuidema of Morrison, IL and one brother, Robert (Helen) Wagenecht of Morrison, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dean.
