Obituary for Robert Lee Dumbauld
ROBERT "BOB" LEE DUMBAULD, 76, of 39 Ferry Street, Prophetstown, IL, died peacefully, Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton, IL after an extended illness. Bob was born August 12, 1934 in Kewanee, IL, to Wilbur and Bernice (Gylling) Dumbauld. He was educated in the Kewanee Grade Schools and was a graduate of Kewanee High School in Kewanee, IL. Bob married Charlotte E. Greenwood on December 30, 1955 in Kewanee. He was employed at Eby Brown in Aurora, IL, retiring after 27 years of employment. Bob was a member of the Prophetstown United Methodist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge #293 in Prophetstown. He played drums in the Kewanee Black Knights Drum and Bugle Corps. He was a member of the Prophetstown Fire Department for 15 years and of the Prophet Hills Country Club. After retirement, Bob was able to enjoy his favorite hobby of golf, where he enjoyed his Thursdays with his foursome and also had the joy of achieving two holes-in-one. Bob and his wife also enjoyed dancing which was a big part of his life. Bob was well known for his comedic actions and his great sense of humor. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; three daughters, Regi (Tom) Fortune of Tampico, IL; Lori (Mark) Knoblauch and Toni (Doug) Peterson both of Prophetstown, IL; five grandchildren, Chris (Mike) Terry, Tommy (Angela) Fortune, Brooke (Shawn) Schwartz, Shane Floming, and Leah (Mark) Peterson; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
