Obituary for Robert "Heusie" W. Heusinkveld
Robert “Heusie” W. Heusinkveld, 83, of Morrison, IL, died Sunday, December 24, 2017, at Morrison Community Hospital in Morrison, IL.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, IL, with Rev. Gerald Norman and Mr. Ken Renkes co-officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison.

Robert was born September 11, 1934, in Morrison, IL, to Alvin and Alice (Decker) Heusinkveld. He was educated in the Morrison grade schools and was a 1953 graduate of Morrison High School in Morrison, IL. Robert married Joan DeWeerdt on March 11, 1954, in Fulton, IL. Heusie owned and operated the Shell gas station in Morrison, IL. He was then employed by Climco Coils in Morrison, IL and drove a semi truck for Don Hook. Heusie retired from General Electric in Morrison, IL in 1989. He was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, IL and he also enjoyed bowling and playing golf. A memorial has been established.

Survivors include his wife, Joan, one daughter, Cindy (Richard) Wolf of Erie, IL; two sons, Gary (Deb) Heusinkveld of Morrison, IL and Jon (Linda Brandon) Heusinkveld of Morrison, IL; six grandchildren, Michael (Carolyne) Wolf, Matthew (Samantha) Wolf, Amanda (Michael) Tummillo, Adam, Cassandra, and Megan Heusinkveld; five great- grandchildren; and two sisters; Mrs. Marilyn VanOosten of Erie, IL and Maisie (Phillip) Renkes of Morrison, IL

He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Aaron Wolf and one great- grandson, Ethan Wolf.
