Obituary for Pearl V. Sperry
PEARL V. SPERRY, 92, of 202 W. Knox Street, Morrison, IL, died Friday, April 14, 2006 at Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison. Pearl was born March 5, 1914, to Alonzo and Effie (Mensch) McElrath. She married Fielder "Snooks" Sperry on July 29, 1933 in Morrison. He died on December 9, 1971. Pearl had been employed by various Main Street merchants in Morrison. Most recently, she was employed as a cook for the Morrison High School cafeteria. She was a member of the Morrison United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She belonged to the Morrison Wa-Tan-Ye Club. Survivors include cousins. Her husband, parents and one sister, Hazel Wright, preceded her in death.
