Obituary for Nora Glazier
NORA GLAZIER, 81, long time resident of Lyndon, IL, most recently residing at Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown, IL, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL. Nora was born April 23, 1932, in Morrison, IL, to Perry and Betty Clementz Upton. She was educated in the Lyndon Grade Schools and was a graduate of Lyndon High School in Lyndon, IL. She married Floyd W. Glazier on April 28, 1951, in Prophetstown, IL. He died December 5, 1995. Nora was employed as a secretary for the Superintendent of the Prophetstown/Lyndon School District. She later worked as a bookkeeper for Gibson Oil Company, until her retirement. She was a long time member of the Lyndon Village Board, and also a proud member of the National Rifle Association. Nora loved gardening, bird watching and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth (Dale) Timmons of Lyndon, IL; one son, Stanley (Phyllis) Glazier of Congerville, IL; five grandchildren, Josh (Andrea) Glazier, Jon Glazier, Stacy (Ron) Crabtree, Kristin (Andy) Inlow and Kallie Timmons; one great-grandchild, Landon Crabtree; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; three sisters, Norma Scott, Betty Jane Bollman and Alice Maronde. View this obituary online at www.bosmarenkes.com
