Obituary for Neal Carroll
NEAL CARROLL, 81, of 1620 8th Street, Fulton, IL, died Sunday, December 25, 2005 at his home. Neal was born August 6, 1924, in Ft. Creek, KY, to Alex and Rhoda (Davis) Carroll. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Erma J. Van Kampen on March 14, 1947 in Fulton, IL. She died January 6, 1966. Neal had worked for the Curtis Company of Clinton, IA; Volckman"s Furniture Factory in Morrison, IL; Chicago & Northwestern Railroad in Clinton; and the former Patent Novelty Company in Fulton. He was a member of the Savanna, IL V.F.W. Survivors include one daughter, Brenda (Mrs. Gary) Pruis of Morrison, IL; two sons, Jimmy (Vicki) Carroll of Morrison, IL and Terry (Kathy) Carroll of Morrison, IL; five grandchildren, Jimmy Carroll Jr., Misty Rus, Jody Kampe, Casey and Margo Pruis; five great grandchildren, Mason and Brylee Kampe, Madisyn and Kylee Rus, Samantha Carroll; two sisters, Mrs. Rachel Wiersema of Morrison, IL and Mossie (Mrs. Don) Flanders of La Mirada, CA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Erma; two sisters, Ore Carroll and Mary, in infancy; three brothers, Martin, Dan and Bill Carroll
