Obituary for Mary A. Dehlin
MARY A. DEHLIN, 76, of 306 N. East Avenue, Amboy, IL, died Thursday, July 1, 2010 at St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford, IL. Mary was born March 22, 1934 in Morrison, IL, to Henry J. and Grace L. (Coyne) Rick. She was educated in the Morrison Grade School and attended Morrison High School. Mary married Ronald L. Brown. She later married Floyd L. Dehlin on August 6, 1969 in East Moline, IL. Mary was employed by General Electric in Morrison for 18 years and later at Climco Coils in Morrison for 2 years. Following that, she owned and operated, with her husband Floyd, the Ben Franklin Store in Amboy. She enjoyed teaching and doing craft work. Survivors include her husband, Floyd; two daughters, Marcia Brown of Bradenton, FL and Dawn Dehlin of South Beloit, IL; three sons, Gerald (Karen) Brown of Morrison; James (Julie) Brown of Morrison; and David (Fiancee"Melissa Bates) Brown of Dixon, IL; one step daughter, Cindy (Billy) Evick of Franklin, WV; one step son, Mark (Crystal) Dehlin of Morgantown, WV; five grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one brother, Richard Rick of Homosassa Springs, FL. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Mildred Richards, Lorraine Minssen, Phyllis Olson-Gentz, Annelle Jensen, and Virginia Minssen; one brother, Ray Rick.
