Obituary for Marian J. Larson
MARIAN J. LARSON, 85, of Bradenton, FL, formerly of Chadwick, IL, died Monday, January 15, 2007 at Tidewell Hospice in Bradenton, FL. Marian was born January 4, 1922 in Lyndon, IL to John and Ida (Wagenecht) Bierman. She was educated in the rural Whiteside County schools and graduated from Morrison High School in 1940. She married Maurice O. Larson on May 16, 1943 in Morrison. He died December 2, 2001. She was employed at an insurance company and later as a secretary and bookkeeper at a farm loan association both in Morrison. She then owned and operated, along with her husband and parents, the Bierman and Larson Chevrolet and J.I. Case Implement Company for 19 years. She later worked as a secretary and bookkeeper at the Chadwick Swiss Cheese Company in Chadwick, IL and then was employed by the Chadwick Driver"s License Facility from 1974 to 1985 when she retired. Marian was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Chadwick, IL. Survivors include one son, Arlyn (Trenna) Larson of Fountain Inn, SC; three grandchildren, Chad (Georgia) Larson of Dayton, OH; Matt (Catrin) Larson of Edmond, OK and Greg (Erin) Larson of Edmond, OK; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Maxfield of Savanna, IL and Mrs. Shirlene Yamnitz of Bradenton, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice.
