Obituary for Lois Foster
LOIS FOSTER, 85, of Clinton, IA, died Wednesday February 8, 2023 at her home.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be a memorial service at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Community Reformed Church in Clinton, officiated by Rev. Andrew Foss. A visitation will be held the same day, from 9:00 AM until the start of the service. The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements. Interment will be at a later date at the Fulton Township Cemetery.
Lois was born June 1, 1937, in Garden Plain, IL to Aleck J. and Rena (VenHuizen) Housenga. She was educated in the rural Whiteside County grade schools and attended Fulton High School in Fulton, IL. On June 24, 1953 she married Arthur R. Foster in Fulton. Lois was a homemaker. She was a member of Community Reformed Church in Clinton. Spending time with her family brought Lois great joy, especially those times with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur; one daughter, Laura (David) Kuhl of rural Sabula, IA; two sons, Raymond A. Foster and Mark (Diana) Foster, both of Richmond, VA; five grandchildren, Julie (Adam) Johnson, Chris Kuhl, David (Emily) Foster, Daniel Foster and Marc Ehredt; fifteen great grandchildren; one sister, Irene Charneski of Fulton, IL.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Cathy Ehredt; six sisters, Dorothy Foster, Millie Zimmerman, Inez Wilkens, Dolly Housinga, Pauline Corkill, and Leona Self; two brothers, Roy and Howard Housenga.
