Obituary for Kent E. Connelly
KENT E. CONNELLY, 62, of 401 W. Main Street, Morrison, IL, died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA. Kent was born July 20, 1947 in Morrison, IL, to William E. and Jean P. (Mickley) Connelly. He was educated in the rural Whiteside County Grade Schools, was a graduate of Morrison High School and attended Morrison Institute of Technology. Kent served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was employed in the advertising department of the Clinton Herald Newspaper in Clinton, IA for several years. Survivors include two daughters, Ellen (Andrew) Dohrmann of Marion, IA and Allison Connelly (fianc" Alex Riggen) of Morrison, IL; one granddaughter, Olivia Dohrmann; his parents, William "Bill" and Jean Connelly of Morrison, IL; one sister, Laura A. Maas of Rapid City, SD; four brothers, William J. Connelly of Morrison, IL, Gary L. (Kathy) Connelly of Phoenix, AZ, Randy E. (Kristin) Connelly of Rapid City, SD, and Tom (Debra) Connelly of Wenatchee, WA. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
