Obituary for Kenneth E. Kuehl
KENNETH E. KUEHL, 84, of 12501 Malvern Rd. Morrison, IL, died Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Morrison. Kenny was born on August 15, 1927, in Morrison, to William H. and Luella E. (Burch) Kuehl, Jr. He was educated in the Gridley Grade School of rural Whiteside County. He was a graduate of Morrison High School and received a bachelor"s from Marycrest College in Davenport, IA. He married Jane "Jenny" Newell on May 14, 1949 in Morrison. She died April 30, 1995. Kenny was first employed by Whiteside FS Gas Station in Morrison, which he later owned and operated. Later, he was employed by General Electric Co. in Morrison. He also was employed as a substitute teacher for Morrison Unit #6 Schools, and Bi-County Special Education District. Kenny was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church and served as a Sunday school teacher. He enjoyed flower gardening and genealogy. Survivors include five sons, Terry (fianc"e Susan Tucker) Kuehl, Randy (Lois) Kuehl, Ron (Cindy Wittek) Kuehl, and Kevin (Shari) Kuehl, all of Morrison, and Philip (Barbara) Kuehl of Fulton, IL; twenty grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren; two brothers, William (Darlene) Kuehl and Richard (Karen) Kuehl, both of Morrison; one sister-in-law, Peggy Kuehl of Clinton, IA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane; two brothers, Robert and Raymond Kuehl.
