Obituary for James Pell
JAMES PELL, 87, of Fulton, IL, died Friday, September 18, 2015 at the Alverno Health Care Facility in Clinton, IA. Jim was born July 30, 1928, in Morrison, IL, to Nicholas E. and Helen (Tiesenga) Pell. He was educated in the rural Whiteside County grade schools and was a graduate of Morrison High School in Morrison, IL. Jim married Patricia Conrad on May 3, 1952, in Sterling, IL. He was engaged in farming in the Spring Valley area and was an auctioneer for 40 years and a real estate broker. Jim was a member of the Lyons United Methodist Church in Clinton, IA and a former member of Spring Valley Reformed Church in Fulton. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Morrison. Jim enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. Survivors include his wife, Pat; three sons, Gregory (Brenda) Pell, David Pell, and Douglas (Debra) Pell all of Fulton, IL; three grandchildren, Jimmy (Valerie) Pell, Kristen (Zac) Reifinger, and Jessica (Shawn) McClain; one great-granddaughter, Kaylee Pell; one sister, Mrs. Jenny Fickle of Santa Ana, CA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Pell; three sisters, Kitty Pell, Rose McGuire, and Hilda Vandermyde; five brothers, Fred, Joe, Jack, Russel, and Edward Pell.
