Obituary for Helen M. Holland
HELEN M. HOLLAND, 92, of Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown, IL died Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at the Center. Helen was born on April 5, 1916 in Geneseo, IL to Elmer N. and Julia C. (Hedman) Hanell. She was educated in Geneseo Grade Schools and graduated from Geneseo High School in Geneseo, IL. She married Teddy Roselieb on May 15, 1937 in Forreston, IL. She later married Ted Holland on October 15, 1948 in Morrison, IL. He preceded her in death on October 14, 1976. Helen worked at Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown, IL for 25 years retiring in 1992. She loved to cook for her family and loved Bingo and crossword puzzles. She also love cats and especially enjoyed visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Lorene Holloway of Rock Falls, IL and Kathy (Mrs. Bill) Washburn of Kewanee, IL; two sons, Duane Roselieb of Prophetstown, IL and Ricky Holland of Prophetstown, IL; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Ted Holland; one daughter, Diane Ruth; one grandson, Scottie Holloway; and one brother, Edward Hannell.
