Obituary for Helen E. Bruins
HELEN E. BRUINS, 73, of 624 26th Street, Peru, IL, formerly of Morrison, IL, died Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Liberty Village Retirement Community, Peru, IL. Helen was born October 22, 1934 in Fulton, IL, to John K. and Janet G. (Kettler) Wiebenga. She was educated in the Fulton Christian Grade School and was a graduate of Fulton High School. Helen married Norman D. Bruins on April 9, 1954 in Fulton, IL. He died January 7, 2006. She was employed at the Morrison High School Cafeteria. Helen was a member of Morrison Christian Reformed Church and the church"s Ladies Aid Society. Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca (Mrs. Trent) Jacobs of Cedar Rapids, IA; two sons, John (Bonnie) Bruins of Coleta, IL and Brad (Josanne) Bruins of Peru, IL; eleven grandchildren, Ian (Lisa) Bruins, Seth Bruins, Audra (Mrs. Gabe) Fairchild, Philip, Paul, Alexandria and Elisheva Bruins, Joseph, Rachael, Mara, and Emily Jacobs; two great grandchildren, Ava and Ruby Bruins; one sister, Barbara Prins of Kentwood, MI; one brother, David (Barbara) Wiebenga of Byron Center, MI; and one brother-in-law, Doug (Glenda) Kloet of Kenosha, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norm; one son, Thomas Bruins, two sisters, Mildred Kloet and Carol Wiebenga.
