Obituary for Harry Rick
HARRY RICK, 84, of 502 Maple Avenue, Morrison, IL, died Friday, December 15, 2006 at his home.Harry was born April 21, 1922 in Malvern, IL, to Harry and Rachel (Carlton) Rick. He was educated in the Whiteside County grade schools. He married Sarah Hammer on December 25, 1947 in Morrison. Harry owned and operated Rick Construction in the Morrison area. He had worked for several contractors before starting his own business. Harry was a member of the Morrison United Methodist Church. He enjoyed his time at the Isle of Rhodes with his coffee club. Survivors include his wife, Sarah; three daughters, Diane Rick of Milwaukee, WI; Debby (Mrs. Charles) Makarius of Circleville, OH; and Dawn Holt of Cherry Valley, CA; one son, David (Brenda) Rick of Bayfield, CO; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Alda (Mrs. Ray) Borowicz of Leesburg, FL and one brother, Donald (Irene) Rick of Gainesville, FL.He was preceded in death by two sisters, Luella Alexander and Betty Workman.
