Obituary for Genevieve R. Huizenga
GENEVIEVE R. HUIZENGA, 82, of 1031 " 13th Avenue, Fulton, IL, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clinton, IA. Genevieve was born July 21, 1926, in Erie, IL, to William and Winnie (Geerts) Foster. She was educated at the Mineral Springs School in rural Whiteside County. She married Marvin J. Huizenga on October 7, 1947 in Morrison, IL. She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton, IL. Genevieve enjoyed reading, sewing and working jigsaw puzzles. Survivors include her husband, Marv; one daughter, Ruth (Robert) Fatchett of DeWitt, IA; one son, Kenneth (LaVonne) Huizenga of Morrison, IL; seven grandchildren, Adam (Megan) Huizenga, Rebecca Huizenga, Matt Huizenga, Britni Huizenga (fianc"e Brett Hartman), Rachel (Justin) Grager, Rhonda (Kyle) Jensen, Ryan Fatchett; three great grandchildren, Anna and Lydia Huizenga, Allison Grager; one sister, Wilma Foster of Fulton, IL; one brother, Roland (Elsie) Foster of Fulton, IL. She was preceded in death by one sister, Tena Foster; one brother, Willard, in infancy.
