Obituary for Gary W. Drenner
GARY W. DRENNER, 75, of Albany, IL, died Monday, March 17, 2014 at the Alverno Health Care Facility in Clinton, IA. Gary was born November 15, 1938, in Rockford, IL, to Wesley W. and Juanita R. (Blake) Drenner. He was educated in the Pearl City Grade School in Pearl City, IL. Gary married Shirley K. Chase on December 29, 1958 in Savanna, IL. He was first employed by Drives, Inc. in Fulton, IL, and later by Case IH in East Moline, IL, where he was an assembler. He retired in 1991. Gary enjoyed farming, fishing, camping, carpentry work and working on old cars. Survivors include his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Robin Davis and Kim Drenner, both of Spring Hill, FL; one son, Kurt Drenner of Albany, IL; seven grandchildren, Dustin and Tamara Davis, Daniele, Devin, Derek, Dawson and Dolan Drenner; three great grandchildren; six sisters, Janice Strawhacker of Freeport, IL, Kathy Young of Mt. Carroll, IL, Karen Drenner of Memphis, TN, Cindy (Steve) Laux of Orland, FL, Jeannie (Ron) Hirshburger of Fort Madison, IA, and Leslie Drenner of Freeport, IL; one brother, Jerry (Sherry) Drenner of Gurnee, IL; one sister-in-law, Gretchen (Jerry) Cossman of Fulton, IL, three brothers-in-law, William (Linda) Chase of Fulton, IL, Terry (Peggy) Chase of Fulton, IL and Gary (Georgia) Chase of St. Joseph, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
