Obituary for Frank L. Hamilton Jr.
FRANK L. HAMILTON, JR., 73, of Fort Wayne, IN died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, IN. Frank was born June 21, 1937 in Sterling, IL, to Le Roy and Mabel A. (Ballard) Hamilton. He was educated in the Portland School of rural Whiteside County and was a 1955 graduate of Prophetstown High School in Prophetstown, IL. Frank served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He married Marian L. DuPree on September 3, 1957 in Prophetstown. He was a self employed concrete contractor and was a former member of the Prophetstown United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Marian; one daughter, Christine (Carl) Zatkulak of Powhatan, VA; four grandchildren, Callie (Paul) Cheney, Ben Zatkulak, Shea Zatkulak, and Madison Zatkulak; and one sister-in-law, Jane Hamilton of Mesa, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Terry Hamilton and two in infancy.
