Obituary for Elizabeth C. Carrie Belt
ELIZABETH C. CARRIE BELT, 83, of Morrison, IL, died peacefully at home on Thursday, November 24, 2011, with her family and care giver in attendance.Carrie was born on January 6, 1928, in Evansville, IN, to Tower Enoch and Wilnah Hutcheson Belt. She worked for Eastern Air Lines in Chicago, IL, becoming a supervisor of ticketing agents. Thereafter, she moved to North Carolina to help care for her mother. Upon her mothers death, she returned to Illinois, setting up residence in Morrison in 1994. Carrie was a student of American history and politics, and was an avid golfer and baseball fan.She is survived by her sister, Ann Belt Mennenoh of Galena, IL; three nieces, Elizabeth J. (Larry) Thorson of Las Vegas, NV, Barbara J. (George) Wolfe of Bloomington, IN, and Linda M. (Stephen) Harbers of Marietta, GA; three nephews, Bill G. (Sherry Hague) Belt of Sacramento, CA, Daniel D.(Merry)Mennenoh of Galena, IL and Bill J. (Ketevan) Mennenoh of Marietta, GA; also nine great nieces and nephews and one great great nephew.Carrie was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, George W. Belt; one sister-in-law, June G. Belt; one brother-in-law, John D. Mennenoh.
Private services and burial will be held on Tuesday, November 29th in Lawrenceburg, KY.
