Obituary for Donald Bush
DONALD BUSH, 89, of Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison, IL, died Thursday, October 5, 2006 at the nursing home. Donald was born March 15, 1917, in Morrison, IL to Clarence and Henrietta (Bolt) Bush. He was educated in the Green Valley School in rural Whiteside County, graduating from the 8th grade. He married Coramae "Cork" Norman on August 13, 1938 in Fulton, IL. Donald engaged in farming in the rural Lyndon and Fenton, IL areas. He served as director and president of Mt. Pleasant Mutual Insurance for 35 years. He was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, and belonged to the Men"s Brotherhood, where he had served as secretary. He was a member of the Whiteside County Conservation District and had served on the steering committee for resource, conservation and development. He had served on the Green and Fenton School boards, and also on the board at Resthave Nursing Home. Survivors include his wife Cork; two sons, Arlyn (Janette) Bush of Prophetstown, IL and Milton (Janice) Bush of Morrison, IL; four grandchildren, Kim (Paul) Mehring, Craig (Jennifer) Bush, Becky (Brad) Gantt, Kurt (Julie) Bush; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth (Eloise) Bush and Eugene (Wilma) Bush, both of Morrison, IL. He was preceded in death by one brother, in infancy; a daughter-in-law, Carol Bush; a sister-in-law, Florence Bush.
