Obituary for Darrel R. Hook "Doc"
DARREL R. HOOK “DOC”, 68, of Morrison, IL, died Saturday, November 19, 2022 at his home. Cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
Darrel was born February 22, 1954 in Clinton, IA to Robert V. and Shirley (Krammer) Hook. He attended the Albany and Fulton, IL grade schools and was a graduate of Fulton High School. Darrel worked as a set-up man at Timken Drives in Fulton for many years. He was also employed as an over-the-road truck driver for 16 years, and most recently he delivered newspapers. Darrel enjoyed playing pool and he loved cars.
Survivors include two daughters, Angie (Josh) Dykstra and Casey Hook, both of Morrison; two sons, Michael (Elyse Logan) Hook of Clinton and Joseph (Lorilee Hutson) Hook of Morrison; four grandchildren, Alexandria, Kyle, Summer and Leo; one sister, Carolyn Thomas of Erie, IL; two brothers, Wayne (Soni) Hook and Robert (Tina) Hook, both of Fulton; his significant other, Sandy Keeling.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Connie Barry.
