Obituary for Darlene Wiebenga
F. DARLENE MARTIN-WIEBENGA, 66, of 600 14th Avenue, Fulton, IL, died Friday, February 9, 2007 at University Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA. Darlene was born May 18, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Roy and Iola (Bellamy) Wyant. She married Merle M. Martin on Nov. 3, 1962 in Plainfield, WI. He died Dec. 18, 2000. She later married Harvey P. Wiebenga on May 17, 2003 in Fulton, IL. Darlene was employed as a Certified Nurses Assistant for Bickford Cottage in Cedar Falls, IA and most recently in Clinton, IA. She was a Certified Christian Worker with the General Council of the Assemblies of God and was active in the Coffee Break Ministry of Second Reformed Church in Fulton. Survivors include her husband, Harvey; three daughters, Peggy (Dave) Sharp of Reedsburg, WI; Donna (Andrew) Wiik of Fulton; and Jo Ann Chalupecky of Hillsboro, WI; two sons, Rev. Keith (Karen) Martin and Dale (Lara) Martin both of Clinton, IA; one stepdaughter, Darla Wiebenga of Fulton; two stepsons, Dalbert (Bette) Wiebenga of Morrison, IL and Dean (Jennifer) Wiebenga of West Dundee, IL; fifteen grandchildren; four step grandchildren; three great grandchildren; five sisters, Arliss (Jim) Hamilton of Cedar Falls, IA; Ann Dreckman of Madison, OH; Wanda (Wally) Basler of St. John, IN; Marilyn (Mike) Augabrite of Tulsa, OK; and Edna (Kenny) Huntley of Waterloo, IA; six brothers, Kenneth (Marilyn) Wyant, Larry (Sherrie) Wyant, Gary (Polly) Wyant, and Richard (Nancy) Wyant all of Waterloo, IA; Carl (Judy) Wyant and Michael (Paula) Wyant both of Evansdale, IA; one half sister, Mrs. Lois Jane Kirk-Schwake of Waterloo; two half brothers, Gordon Fraser of Waterloo and John Fraser of Canada. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Merle; one great granddaughter, Alexia Wilkerson; one brother, Jim Wyant; and three half brothers, Lyle, Art, and Bill Wyant.
