Obituary for Daniel L. Wiebenga
DANIEL L. WIEBENGA, 65, of Moravia, IA formerly of Albany, IL, died Sunday, December 6, 2009 at his home. Dan was born December 18, 1943 in Morrison, IL, to Howard and Dorathy E. (Badtke) Wiebenga. He was educated in the Fulton grade schools and was a graduate from Fulton High School in Fulton, IL. Dan married Aleda McGinty, then married Laurie Stoecker, and later married Lucretia Carruthers. He was first employed by Drives, Inc. in Fulton and was later employed by John Deere in East Moline, IL for 29 years, retiring in 2004. Dan was an avid out of doors man, enjoying hunting and fishing. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include five daughters, Tami Duggan (Keith Andrews) of Thomson, IL; Tori (Brian) Lindeman of Rock Island, IL; Michelle Wiebenga (Brad McClure) of Agency, IA; Melissa Wiebenga (Eric Jones) of Ottumwa, IA and Kelly Stoecker; one son, Shane Wiebenga of Moravia, IA; nine grandchildren, Dustin and Katilyn Duggan; Karissa Andrews; Cody and Andrew Lindeman; Austin Roe; MaKynna Harrington; Zachary Jones; and Carson Chestnut; two sisters, Becky Wiebenga of Savanna, IL and Trisha (Jason) Paxson of Stockton, IL; two brothers, Chris (Dawn) Wiebenga of Argo Fay, IL and Mike (Jen) Wiebenga of Dubuque, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Wiebenga.
