Obituary for Dale F. McKenna
DALE F. MC KENNA, 75, of 13169 Albany Road, Albany, IL, died Monday February 19, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton, IA. Dale was born January 8, 1932, in Sterling, IL, to James Roy and Catherine (Ryan) McKenna. He graduated from Erie High School in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army. Dale married Myona Ashpole on June 13, 1959 in Fulton, IL. He was employed by Herman Nelson American Air Filter in Morrison, IL and Cardox in Cordova, IL. He then worked at International Harvestor / Case Tenneco in East Moline, IL, retiring in 1992. He was a member of St. Patrick"s Catholic Church in Albany, and had served on the church"s parish council. He was a former member of the Albany Fire Department. Dale was an Avid Cubs Fan; his family was the joy of his life. Survivors include his wife, Myona; two daughters, Debora (Mrs. Karl) Courtade of Somerset, WI and Mary Kay (Mrs. Jerry) Bell of Woodbury, MN; five grandchildren, Jay (Carrie) Bell, Ryan Bell, Shannon Bell; Elizabeth Courtade, Alexandra Courtade; two great grandchildren; Jaden and Alexis Bell; four sisters, Dorothy (Mrs. James) Chamberlain of Albany, IL, Jean (Mrs. Cleon) Eyrich of Prophetstown, IL, Betty (Mrs. Al) Vroman of Geneseo, IL and Mrs. Eileen Wittevrongel of Chadwick, IL; two brothers, his twin Dean (Betty) McKenna of Freeport, IL and Don (Rose) McKenna of Kewanee, IL. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Rita Conley, Mary Grennan and LaVerne Sokoliski; six brothers, Father Leo McKenna, Vincent, Lourde, Robert, William and Paul McKenna.
