Obituary for Billy H. Lankford
BILLY H. LANKFORD, 73, of 616 11th Avenue, Fulton, IL, died Thursday, February 7, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton, IA. Billy was born November 12, 1939, in Grundy County, Missouri, to Ralph O. and Amber A. (Holt) Lankford. He was educated in the Trenton, Missouri Grade Schools and attended Trenton High School. Billy served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He married Carolyn A. Patterson on March 7, 1975, in Brookfield, MO. Billy was employed at Dairy Pak in Clinton, IA, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Second Reformed Church in Fulton. Billy enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and also did some small engine repair. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn; three sons, Jim Laursen of Fulton, IL; Ken (Tammy) Laursen of Wheatland, IA; and Kevin (Deanna) Leonhardt of Fulton, IL; three step daughters, Tammy Bush of Florida; Mary Beth (Chad) Buck of Tennessee; and Patti (Pat) O"Rourke of Madison, WI; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, William "Bill" R. Lankford; and one sister, Peggy Meek.
