Obituary for Arthur L. Norman
ARTHUR "BUBBY" NORMAN, 91, of 1203 14th Avenue, Fulton, IL, died Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton, IA. Arthur was born November 5, 1918 in Clinton, IA to Alice Norman. He was educated at the Unity Christian School in Fulton, IL. He married Dorothy B. Lange on May 17, 1941 in Clinton, IA. She died May 30, 2006. Art was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II. He was employed by E.I. DuPont Company in Clinton, IA for 32 years, retiring in 1980. Art was a member of Fulton Presbyterian Church and the American Legion-Fulton Post #402. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid Cubs fan. Survivors include three daughters, Betty (Tom) Olson of Kenosha, WI; Connie (Jeff) Wierema of Waukegan, IL; and Pam Norman of Fulton, IL; three sons, Terry (Sally) Norman of Franklin, GA; Rick (Joan) Norman of Fulton, IL and Lee Norman of Fulton, IL; eleven grandchildren, Tracy (Mike) McDermott, Tom (Debbie) Olson, Corey (Shella) Wierema, Ryan (Gina) Wierema, Ashley Wierema, Torilynn (Matt) Schneider, Trent (Lisa) Norman, Travis Norman, Amanda (Aaron) Maurer, Megan Norman, and Adam Norman; and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy and one daughter, Debra Norman.
