Obituary for Arnold G. Wiebenga
ARNOLD G. WIEBENGA, 69, of 406 W. Park Street, Morrison, IL, died Monday, May 29, 2006, at his home. Arnold was born November 20, 1936 in Morrison, IL, to Jordan T. and Anna (Kuehl) Wiebenga. He was educated in the Morrison grade schools and was a Morrison High School graduate. He served in the U.S. Army. Arnold married Betty J. Osburn on June 16, 1956 in Reno, Nevada. He was employed by Seger"s Grocery in Erie, IL for 5 years; Wilkens Grocery in Morrison, IL for 5 years; Brands Heating and Appliance in Morrison, IL for 23 years; and International Paper Co. in Clinton, IA for 3 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison and enjoyed woodworking. Survivors include his wife, Betty; two daughters, Janet (Mrs. Jack) Bergstresser, Jr. of Statesville, NC and Karen (Mrs. Kenneth) Burmester of Clinton, IA; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Mrs. Kevin) Zimmer and Konnie Burmester; one great grandson, Jack Zimmer; one sister, Mrs. Rena Zuidema of Morrison, IL; three brothers, Robert (Lois) Wiebenga of Morrison, IL; Loren (Susan) Wiebenga of Clinton, IA; and Gerald (Diane) Wiebenga of Morrison, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Jack Bergstresser, III; two brothers, Marvin and Donald Wiebenga.
