Obituary for L. Paulette Engelkens
L. PAULETTE ENGELKENS, 74, of Erie, IL, died Friday, October 20, 2017 at the University of IA Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA.Paulette was born October 4, 1943 to Leonard P. and Edna G. (Peterson) Riddell. She was educated in the Rock Island, IL schools. On April 4, 1987 she married Fred Coopman in New Windsor, IL. He died January 25, 1998. She then married Edd R. Engelkens on March 4, 2005. Paulette owned and operated Lees Upholstery in Morrison, IL. She was employed at Wahl Clipper, Sterling, IL, for eleven years. She also had been the assistant manager at the Hardees restaurant in Morrison and was currently serving as the secretary/treasurer for the Erie Campground, Inc. in Erie, IL. Paulette enjoyed crocheting, camping with her husband Edd, and attending Native American Pow Wows.Survivors include the love of her life, her husband, Edd; two daughters, Mrs. Linda Eagle of Fulton, IL and Wendy (James) Kells of California; one son, Wade (Denise) Engelkens of Stanwood, IA; eight grandchildren, Amy Scott, Leona (Josh) Matney, Rebecca (Brandon) Eads, Clayton (Anita) Scott, Joshua Eagle, Steven Kuehl, Jenna Engelkens, Brooke Engelkens; thirteen great grandchildren; one brother, Ronald Riddell of Milan, IL.She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Fred; one granddaughter, Jessica Kuehl and one great granddaughter, Annabell Matney.

CREMATION RITES HAVE BEEN ACCORDED MEMORIAL SERVICE: 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home OFFICIATING: Pastor Rita Wolf MEMOIRAL VISITATION: Preceding the service - 5:00- 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 25th.
