Obituary for Louise Drury
LOUISE DRURY, 96, of Morrison, IL, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Friday, September 29, 2017, at Resthave Home, Morrison, IL.Louise was born December 26, 1920, in Moline, IL, to Bert O. and Nellie M. (Robinson) Nichols. She was educated in the East Clinton, IL grade school and was a 1938 graduate of Fulton High School in Fulton, IL. She attended Scovills Business College in Clinton, IA. Louise married Burton Bud Drury on March 24, 1940, in Garden Plain, IL. He died August 13, 1996. Louise farmed, along with her husband, in the rural Garden Plain area, retiring in 1992. She was a member of the Garden Plain Presbyterian Church and the churchs United Presbyterian Women. She served as elder and Clerk of Session. Louise was a member of the Garden Plain Grade School Board for 9 years and the Fulton-Riverbend School Board for 12 years. She was a member of the Whiteside County Home Extension and served on the board of directors for many years. Louise was also a 4-H leader and co-organizer of The Red Meat Connection, serving on its Board of Directors. She was a member, past president and vice president of the Illinois Cattlewomen and member of the Whiteside County Farm Bureau Womens Committee.Survivors include two daughters, Karen (John) Massetti of Rockford, IL; and Lori (Doc)Schobert of Barneveld, WI; three sons, Bill (Maria) Drury of Fountain Hills, AZ; Craig (Marla) Drury of Fulton, IL; and Dick Drury of Spokane, WA; eleven grandchildren, Keven (Sarah) Pierce, Bruce (Gail) Pierce, Sheila (Randy) Bloom, Emily (Jeff) Moyer, Mike (Ann) Drury, Larry (Cindy) Drury, Todd Drury, Krista (Jason) Baker, Ryan Drury, Spencer Drury, and Diana Drury; one step grandchild, Ron Massetti; twenty one great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; six great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Burton; a daughter, Vicki Adams, two grandsons, Paul Drury and Dale Pierce; one son-in-law, Gerald Adams; one sister, Camilla Weigandt; and one brother, Bert Nichols.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 P.M. Friday, October 6, 2017, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home OFFICIATING: Rev. Dr. James A. Camp VISITATION: 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service Friday, October 6, 2017, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home GRAVESIDE COMMITTAL SERVICE: 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Garden Plain Cemetery
