Obituary for Marion Kentfield Paulsen
MARION KENTFIELD PAULSEN, 96, passed away April 10, 2017, at her home in Scottsdale, Arizona.Marion was born in Morrison, Ill. on August 6, 1920 in the family home at 201 Grape St. She was the first child of Carl and Martha Wildi, and big sister to George (deceased) and John.She grew up in Morrison, and graduated from Morrison High School. She then attended MacMurray College. After college Marion met Robert Emrich Paulsen at the USO and they were married October 3, 1943. She and Robert moved multiple times and to many states throughout their lives. After Roberts passing in 1970 she worked for the government until retiring in 1985. She then moved back to the family home in Morrison. In 2009 she moved to Arizona to be near her daughter Ann.During her life Marion developed a passion for travel and art. Her nature was always open to those around her. She presented herself as a quiet and dignified woman who took her card games very seriously.Marion is survived by her brother John Wildi and sister-in-law Margarete (Whitewater, WI), son Christopher Paulsen (Bellingham, WA), daughter Ann Van Norman and son-in-law John (Scottsdale, AZ).Among her many blessings were her six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren (one deceased) and one great great grandchild. Also dear to her were her two nieces, and two nephews (one deceased) and their families.
