Obituary for Wilma J. Beukema
WILMA J. BEUKEMA, 82, of Prairie Hills of Clinton, IA, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Friday, December 30, 2016, at Prairie Hills.Wilma was born October 19, 1934, in Fulton, IL, to Clare L. and Helen M. (Thompson) Peska. She was educated in the Fulton grade schools and was a 1953 graduate of Fulton High School. Wilma married Warren D. Beukema on August 14, 1953, in Fulton, IL. He died April 6, 2013. Wilma was first employed by Fulton Corporation in Fulton, IL and later as an administrative assistant at the former Wyndcrest Nursing Home in Clinton, IA until retirement. Wilma was a member of Fulton Presbyterian Church and served as elder and Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the Fulton Wa-Tan-Ye Club, delivered Meals on Wheels and served as a volunteer at the Fulton Windmill Visitors Center. Wilma enjoyed golfing, reading, and spending time with family.Survivors include two brothers, Clare Bud (Gloria) Peska of Sterling, IL and James (Rosanne) Peska of Fulton, IL; one half brother, Charles (Yvette) Easter of Arizona; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Walter Easter; her husband, Warren; one sister, Judy Peska in infancy; and one half sister, Christine Main.
