Obituary for Beverly J. Hoese
BEVERLY J. HOESE, 87, of The Alverno Healthcare Facility, Clinton, IA, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Thursday, April 21, 2016, at The Alverno. Beverly was born June 19, 1928, in Fulton, IL, to Arthur G. and Viola E. (Sullivan) Hoese. She was educated in the Fulton Grade Schools and was a 1946 graduate of Fulton High School. She graduated from Mount St. Clare College in Clinton, IA with an Associates degree and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1950 from Clarke College in Dubuque, IA. She then attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM and received her Masters of Arts in Education in 1953. Beverly was employed by Dr. Michael J. Vruno in Fulton and later at the Fulton, IL office of Medical Associates, retiring in June 1993. Beverly was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulton and the church"s Altar and Rosary Society where she was a one time President. She was a 25 year member of the Schmaling Memorial Library Board in Fulton and served as board President. Beverly was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling abroad. Survivors include one brother, Gerald (Jeanne) Hoese of Fulton, IL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Barbara Hoese, Mary O"Meara, and Rosalind Burden-Pittenger; two brothers, Robert Hoese and Lawrence Hoese.
