Obituary for Donald S. Stage Sr.
DONALD S. "HOOTER" STAGE SR., 64, of Fulton, IL, died Friday, November 20, 2015, after a four and a half year battle with cancer, at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Donald was born September 13, 1951, in Clinton, IA to Shirley E. and Delores Betty June (Hayton) Stage. He was educated in the Fulton grade schools and attended Fulton High School. He married Janice E. Carroll on January 3, 1970 in Fulton. Donald retired from Case IH in East Moline in 2002. Most recently he was road commissioner for Fulton Township. He enjoyed cooking, especially hogs. He also liked to play darts. Donald enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Janice; one daughter, Tina Stage of Fulton, IL; one son, Donald (Amy) Stage Jr. of Fulton; four grandchildren, Trevor Lewis, Kirsten Stage, Genna Stage, Hailey Stage; two sisters, Joy (Harry) Pettenger of Milledgeville, IL and Mildred "Mickey" (Steve Woods) Stage of Fulton; two brothers, William (Marty) Stage of Milledgeville, and Ronald (Jan) Stage of Fulton. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert E. "Bob" Stage Sr.
