Obituary for Alene Rose Pleasnick
ALENE ROSE PLEASNICK, 85, of Resthave Home, Morrison, IL, died Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Resthave Home. Alene was born October 9, 1929, in Sandusky, OH, to Alphonse and Wilma I. (Armstrong) Good. She was educated in the Sandusky Grade Schools and was a graduate of Norwalk High School in Norwalk, OH. Alene served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. She was a member of St. Anne"s Episcopal Church in Morrison. Alene had an avid interest in needlework of all kinds and gardening in her yard. She loved animals and maintained a childlike sense of wonder and awe in the simple pleasures of life. Survivors include one daughter, Dr. Rebecca (Zimmerman) (Charles) West of Morrison, IL; one son, James (Linda) Pleasnick of Colgate, WI; Beloved Grandmother to, Dr. Allyson (Dr. Yovanni Cata"o) West, Charles (Anne) West, Jasmine (Alvin) Lockett and Joshua Pleasnick; four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Ida Mae Benner.
