Obituary for Marian Boelkins
MARIAN BOELKINS, 85, of Fulton, IL, died Friday, May 15, 2015 at her home. Marian was born September 17, 1929, in Albany, IL, to Harry W. and Jennie (Strating) Reedy. She was educated in the Albany Grade School and attended Fulton High School. She married Chester J. "Chet" Boelkins on August 25, 1949 in Albany. Marian was first employed at the Clinton Garment Factory in Clinton, IA. She was later employed at General Electric Company of Morrison, IL, for 35 years. She enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, cooking and making crafts. She also enjoyed traveling and wintering in Arizona with her husband Chet. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Chet; three daughters, Sue (Richard) Gossard of Fulton, Mrs. Diane Milligan of Garden Plain, IL and Mary (Jim) Ottens of Fulton; two sons, Rod Boelkins and Terry Boelkins, both of Fulton; seven grandchildren, Amy (Luke) Littrel, Jason Milligan, Jammie (Troy) Richert, Aaron Milligan, Heather Ottens, Lynn Boelkins, Brandy Boelkins; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one sister, Joyce (Kenneth) Temple of Fulton. She was preceded in death by one son in infancy, James Boelkins; three brothers, Howard M. "Sonny", Ray and Ken Reedy.
