Obituary for Louie M. Krueger
LOUIE M. KRUEGER, 89, of Fulton, IL, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at his home in Fulton. Louie was born April 30, 1925, in Pierce, NE, to Martin and Lydia (Odenbach) Krueger. He was educated in the St. Charles, SD grade schools and attended St. Charles High School. Louie married Lila Hoppe on April 30, 1950 in Fairfax, SD. He was a Union Carpenter for 60 years, and an avid woodworker. He was a member of St. John"s Lutheran Church in Clinton, IA. Louie enjoyed playing horseshoes, and in 1993 he received second place in the Horseshoe World Championships. Survivors include his wife, Lila; one daughter, Janette (John) Hunter of Yoakum, TX; two sons, Jerry (Lynn) Krueger of Fort Myers, FL and Gene (Susan) Krueger of LeClaire, IA; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Delores Stoltenberg of Nebraska; two brothers, Lenhardt Krueger of Fort Collins, CO and William (JoAnn) Krueger of Payette, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Leon and Herbert Krueger.
