Obituary for Stella Cantrell
STELLA CANTRELL, 97, of Fulton, IL, died Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton, IA. Stella was born April 18, 1916, in Fulton, IL, to George and Martha (Podkonyak) Krickovich. She attended Fulton grade schools and graduated from Fulton High School. She married Pete Hite. She later married Charles U. Cantrell on February 11, 1970, in Fulton, IL. He died September 24, 2005. Stella was first employed by Swift and Company in Clinton and later for the former Clinton Garment Factory. She also farmed with her first husband, Pete, for many years. She was active in a quilting league. She enjoyed quilting, fishing, gardening, and flowers. She also loved to travel with her husband, Charles. Survivors include two nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Pete, her second husband, Charles; four sisters, Ann Nelson, Della Vonack, Mary Krickovich, and Sophie Johnson; five brothers, Sam, Dan, Pete, Nick, and Eli Krickovich.
