Obituary for Cecilia Cheryl Johannsen
On October 9th, 2008 CC was involved in a tragic accident that took her life after only 15 short years. CC was born in Clinton, IA on December 21st, 1992 to Brad and Laura Johannsen. She was accompanied into life by her twin sister, Aleshia Grant Johannsen. CC was an organ donor and was cremated as she wanted. CC, as she was commonly called, spent most of her childhood in Fulton and Prophetstown, IL with her twin, Aleshia and her father, Brad. As a teen she came to reside with her mother, step-father and older sister, Chance, in Trenton, OH. CC enjoyed caring for her many pets, she was active in cheerleading for basketball. She enjoyed duck hunting with her father and sister. She loved music and had a beautiful singing voice. She enjoyed online myspace chatting and had many friends who loved her. She was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts and spent countless hours with her twin sister Aleshia and sister Chance living, loving and learning about life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. CC is survived by her father Brad Johannsen and step mother Cindy Nanninga of Prophetstown, IL; mother Laura Steele and step father Blake Steele of Trenton, OH; twin sister Aleshia Johannsen of Prophetstown, IL; sister Chance Johannsen of Trenton, OH; brother Heath Johannsen of Trenton, OH; step sister Ashlie Hartman; grandmother Pat Claussen and step grandfather Jim Claussen of Camanche, IA; grandfather Larry Johannsen of DeWitt, IA; grandparents Walt and Cheryl Burk of Savanna, IL, Trent Johannsen of Camanche, IA and Angie Johannsen of Davenport, IA.
