Obituary for Darlene M. Deets
DARLENE M. DEETS, 81, of 703 West 2nd Street, Lyndon, IL, died Monday, August 4, 2008 at Dixon Rehabilitation & Health Center in Dixon, IL. Darlene was born on July 14, 1927 in Dixon, IL to Richard Ellis and Estel (Williams) Maronde. She was educated in the Dixon grade schools and attended Dixon High School. She married William Scott in 1945 in Kahoka, MO. She then married Brenton Alden Niles in 1959 in Barre, VT. Later she married Clarence W. Deets on May 15, 1966 in Lyndon, IL. He preceded her in death on November 22, 2002. Darlene was employed at General Electric in Morrison, IL. She was a dance instructor for Arthur Murray Dance Studios in Clinton, IA. She also worked as a CNA for various local nursing homes and CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Rock Falls, IL. Darlene loved to play the piano, read and crochet. Survivors include one daughter, Dallas (Mrs. Raymond) Renkes of Lyndon, IL; two sons, Dan Scott of Rockford, IL, William Scott of Rock Falls, IL; one stepson, Robert Deets of Sterling, IL; four step daughters, Susan Gammon of McFarland, WI, Sheri Roberts of Rock Falls, IL, Sally Schreiner of Sterling, IL, Sheila Gallentine of Sterling, IL; eleven grandchildren, Daniel J. Scott, Shondra K. Scott, Nikki Scott, Andrea (Dan) Munroe, Paul Scott, Kristen Randolph, Stephen Andersen, Jared Andersen, Joshua Andersen, Dru Andersen, Kiara Andersen; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mary Wolf of Grass Valley, CA; one brother, Richard Ellis Maronde, Jr. of Lyndon, IL. She was prededed in death by two husbands, Clarence and Brenton.
