Obituary for Rose M. Main-McCreery
ROSE M. MAIN-MC CREERY, 73, of 34 Meadow Brook Drive, Morrison, IL, died Tuesday, February 14, 2006, at her home. Rose was born October 29, 1932 in Morrison to Fred J. and Goldie I. (Williams) Shepard. She was educated in the Morrison grade and high schools. She received her GED at age 55. Rose married Jerry Main, then she married William Bowman, and later married Eldred D. McCreery. She was employed with the Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison as a nurses aid. She has lived in Morrison her entire life except from 1972 to 1978 when she resided in Washington State. She was a former member of St. Anne"s Episcopal Church in Morrison, where she taught Sunday School. She enjoyed bowling and was involved with the senior league in Sterling, IL. Survivors include one daughter, Connie (Mrs. Todd) Heusinkveld; three sons, Jerry Main of Petaluma, CA; David (Jean) Main of Galesburg, IL; and Ricky (Cheryl) Main of California, MO; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Linda Kohl, Mrs. Penny Kohl, and Sally Burridge all of Fulton, IL; two brothers, Robert (Bev) Shepard and Donald (Sherry) Shepard both of Fulton, IL. She was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, Janet Sue and a brother, Jack Shepard.
