Obituary for Robert "Bob" Bierman
ROBERT “BOB” BIERMAN, 87, of Morrison, IL, died Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Resthave Home in Morrison.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services and the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is assisting the family. A memorial to Resthave Home has been established.
Robert was born May 30, 1933, in Sterling, IL, to Carl H. and Bessie M. (McKee) Bierman. He attended Lincoln grade schools of rural Whiteside County and Morrison High School. Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Donna M. Landheer on November 18, 1956, in Our Savior Lutheran Church in Sterling, IL. Bob was a farmer and also worked for the Whiteside County Highway Department for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Donna of Morrison; one daughter, Barb (Mike) VanZuiden of Morrison; two sons, Jeff Bierman of Morrison and Paul Bierman of Bryant, IA; two grandchildren, Travis (Veronica Spriggs) VanZuiden and Tyler (Tawny) VanZuiden; one great grandchild, Lillian May VanZuiden.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Kenneth “Corky” Bierman; one sister, Minnie May Koett; and one niece, Cheryl Foskitt.
