Obituary for Winifred Kathrine Sills
WINIFRED KATHRINE SILLS, 95, of Avonlea Cottage, Sterling, IL, formerly of Morrison, IL, died Monday, June 28, 2010 at Avonlea Cottage. Winifred was born June 5, 1915, in Union Grove, IL, to Edward and Kathrine (Mack) Malloy. She was educated in the rural Whiteside County Schools. She was employed by General Electric Company in Morrison, retiring in 1981. She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison. Survivors include one niece, Kathleen (James) Nailor of Rock Falls, IL; two nephews, Fred (Ethel) Swanson of Rock Falls, and Douglas Heffley; many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Malloy; two sisters, Bessie Heffley and Frances Swanson; one brother-in-law, Edwards Swanson.
