Obituary for William H. Bill Nesbitt
WILLIAM H. "BILL" NESBITT, 62, of Conway, MO formerly of Clinton, IA died Monday, January 11, 2010 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO. Bill was born on July 25, 1947 in Savanna, IL to Wallace R. and Maxine V. (Gartman) Nesbitt. He was educated in the Hanover, IL grade schools and graduated from Savanna High School in Savanna, IL in 1965. He married Patricia A. Eissens on July 21, 1967 in Thomson, IL. Bill served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He was later employed as a police officer in Clinton, IA for 17 years retiring in 1991. For the last 7 years he was an investigator for the State of Missouri Public Defenders Office. Bill was a founding member of the Clinton Area Vietnam Veterans Association in Clinton, IA. He was an active VFW member and enjoyed collecting books about the WWII era. Survivors include his wife, Pat; two brothers, Tom Miller of Missouri and Craig (Kasheen) Miller of Bentonville, AR; one sister, Tammy Miller of Strafford, MO and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
