Obituary for William A. Haiduck
WILLIAM A. HAIDUCK, 83, of Sarah Harding Home, Clinton, IA, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Friday, September 3, 2010 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL. William was born February 1, 1927 in Aurora, IL, to John A. and Lucille J. (Ancel) Haiduck. He was a graduate of East Aurora High School in Aurora, IL and a graduate of Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. Bill married Nancy Parkison on February 16, 1952 in Charleston, IL. She died August 2, 1998. Bill was first employed as an English teacher at Charleston High School in Charleston, IL. While teaching, he was also a radio journalist at a Charleston radio station. He later was employed by the former Fidelity Life Insurance Company in Fulton, IL and was the first to achieve membership into the "Million Dollar Round Table" for Fidelity Life. He most recently worked as an agent with William A. Haiduck and Associates in Fulton until retiring in 1992. Bill was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulton. He was a long time member of the Clinton YMCA and was a sports and baseball fan. Bill was an avid golfer and past member of the Morrison Country Club, Fulton Country Club, and LynnWood Lynks Golf Course. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Survivors include three daughters, Susan (Gene) Krueger of LeClaire, IA; Cynthia (Mike) Ryan and Sally (David) Nelson both of Clinton, IA; two sons, Michael (Marilyn Sommers) Haiduck of Minneapolis, MN and John Haiduck of Chicago, IL; twelve grandchildren, Elizabeth Krueger, Aaron (Tonya) Krueger, Lauren, Rachel, Katelyn, Colleen, and Cameron Ryan; Samantha (Jacob) Woodcock, Catherine, Emma, John, and James Nelson; two great grandchildren, Lydia Krueger and Gabriel Woodcock; one sister, Jean (Dale) Booth of Oswego, IL; one sister-in-law, Lois Haiduck of Batavia, IL; and special friend, Norma Holm of Clinton, IA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy and one brother, Robert Haiduck.
